There are many situations where these videos have proven to be effective. The one that we have found most effective is the short, 15-20 minute video designed to keep your parents or significant relatives informed. As experienced psychologists, we know that as people age and become frail and ill, or are in nursing homes, depression, discouragement, and loneliness can be constant companions. Because many aging grandparents do not have much to look forward to in terms of exciting planning for the future, they derive much of their meaning and enjoyment from relating to their children and grandchildren. When this is not possible, due to geographical distance or hectic schedules, our Golden Years Videos, made specifically for them, help them feel included in your family as well as being an integral part of your lives.

In these videos we deliberately set up scenes that show your home, your family, the special events of your children, important aspects of your careers, and scenes from your vacations so that you may share these special and intimate times with your parents. We will take photos and video clips from your home footage of special events and build them into a fast moving professional program to share with parents or relatives. Remember, the simplest things that you may take for granted, and even find annoying in your children, can be entertaining, joyful, and emanate "life and energy" to grandparents.

Medically, we have discovered that aging parents with memory loss or Alzheimer’s disease can be uplifted and inspired by these videos of their children and grandchildren. It has been shown that memory in Alzheimer’s patients can be temporarily restored by watching a video of their own lives. This we do by filming photo albums of them and their families of origin, and making a movie of all their important people. The "This Is Your Life" Video, where they can see video images of their own parents, their brothers and sisters, and of course their marriage and the births of their children – a video which may span 90+ years! – often revitalizes memory and stimulates meaningfulness and enjoyment.
